Hi Girls,
Apparently my definition of "cheap" is different from most wedding blogs. Can anyone recommend a quality, up-and-coming photographer in Los Agneles with wedding packages under $1000 for a Saturday in June? Closer to the $800 range would be even better!
All we need is a photographer for 5-6 hours who provides retouched JPG's after the ceremony that we are allowed to reprint. Videography and a physical album are not necessary. They would have to drive to the ceremony location, so I acknowledge that might cost us a little extra.
Obviously we want nice pictures, but every name photographer got started somewhere. I'm looking for someone who has a good eye but is still building their portfolio. Any recommendations?

Hello,
I totally understand what you are looking for. So a friend has used my photographer for work events and she used her for some other things. Our wedding is not until April, but I have spoken with her on the phone and she comes recommended. She is giving me 6 hours and photos on disk and rights to reprint them. $1000 was our budget too!

This si another photographer I reached out to.. and in the text is his email response to me. I didnt contact him because I met Debbie and liked her.
My wedding package starts at $1000 and includes me and a second photographer for 6 hours, a free one hour engagment session, an online web gallery for you and your guests, 25 edited photos on FaceBook to share with friends and family, and a disk with edited high reslolution photos that are ready to print. Everything can be customized to fit your needs so if you want to add anything please let me know. I can also provide high end quality prints and other amazing products if you are interested.

You can also try La-event.com I am using them for video but I like their pics. If I hadn't booked my photographer months ago, I would have Terry doing everything.

@monet7383... I just checked out their site.. I like those pictures too.. Looks really nice. I may give them a call too.. just to compare my person ( listed above) to Terry.
I was planning to place my deposit by Monday... but they offer one more hour for $50 more.... Hmmm
